📚 Every month, I will post a wrap-up of the books I read. ✨
Some months I read with a theme 🎭, and others are just a mishmash of what I felt like reading 🎲📖.
There is usually no rhyme or reason to this — I’m easily distracted 🐿️☕, but I’m also prone to getting a little obsessed with a topic 🔍📚🍰.
My goal for this year is to read books I already own, with an emphasis on all of the Book of the Month books I have but haven’t read and Advance Reader Copies I never got around to reading. Another part of this goal is to complete reading all of my favorite authors’ books and finish series I started. 📚📖
I read 13 books this month, all four or five stars. This month was taken up with a lot of other things, so not as much time for reading. I also read a couple of longer books. On my trip, I read all of Just Friends on the plane ride over, then read two books on the trip. I started my current read (The Five-Star Weekend) on the trip and nearly finished it on the flight back, but didn’t.

I read seven 5 star reads this month. The first two, Happier Here with You and A Singing Bird will Come, I did full reviews for.
The next book was A Touch of Magic by Debbie Viguie. This is the first book in her newest series, ROAR, but focuses on two characters from her Psalm 23 Mysteries. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for more in this series! Then I read Battle of the Bookstores by Ali Brady.
Next was Just Friends by Haley Pham. I really loved this one- it was a romance, but dealt with grief in a really honest way. I literally read it during my flight to Europe. The next five star read was The Shippers by Katherine Center. This was a really cute read! I saved it for my trip since it takes place on a cruise-totally worth it! My last five star read was Abide with Me by Debbie Viguie. I was so surprised to receive my preorder for this- it’s the first book in a new series that is a continuation of the Psalm 23 Mysteries. I really loved it!
📖🍂☕ Four Star Books 👍🌼💫🍪
I read six 4 star books this month. The first was Dark Road to Darjeeling by Deanna Raybourn. It’s the next book in the Lady Julia Grey series- I have one left and two novellas! Next was the newest from Karen Witemeyer, Part of Your World. This is a Texas adaptation of the Little Mermaid. Very cute! Then I read the three books of the Lord the Rockies series in order to review the last one (see my last post). I really loved the series and can’t wait for the last one to come out! My final book was Lady Tremaine, which is the Cinderella story told from the stepmother’s perspective. My book club read this and I really enjoyed it!

For July, I’m going to focus on working on my goals. I don’t have any plans other than to go visit my mom, so hopefully I’ll have time for a lot of reading.
